The SAFe® Product Owner and Product Manager (POPM) course covers the tactical responsibilities of these roles in the Agile Release Train (ART). The course and resulting certification gives you the guidance and tools to work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams.
Learn how product owners and product managers should work together to achieve the best possible customer and business outcomes. The SAFe POPM course will teach you how to adopt a customer-centric approach to building products, using the Scaled Agile Framework® to deliver more value, faster. Topics covered in this course include the daily role of POs and PMs; collaborating with engineering teams and business stakeholders; how to write epics, features, and stories; and how to design, prioritize, build, test, and deliver products with increased productivity and higher quality.
- Any individual regardless of experience can attend this course. However, it is highly recommended that those who intend to take the POPM SAFe® 6.0 certification exam should have:
- At least 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management.
- Project Managers/ Program Managers, Business Analysts, Release Train Engineers, Agile Coaches, etc can attend this course.
On successful registration for this course, you will receive an email from SAFe.
- Login to SAFe Studio and access online class resources.
- After successful completion of the course, access online test and complete it.
- On passing the exam, you will receive an official badge ‘POPM-SAFe6’ with a 1 year free membership to SAFe Studio.
- If you are already a SAFe Member, complete the test from the link on your dashboard of SAFe Studio.
- First attempt is included in the course registration fee if taken within 30 days of course completion.
- If you fail, a $50 exam fee will be charged by SAFe to retake the exam.
